Eau de parfum
Ambre des Lumières

« I wanted to explore the most luminous, enveloping side of amber and reveal its sunlit, soothing facet, the one that evokes those suspended moments when nature, warmed by the sun, invites us to find our center again. »

— Carole Geraci

The inspiration

Sun-drenched undergrowth, where golden warmth wraps moss and bark in an almost tactile softness.

The composition

The olfactory
pyramid.

Three layers, read in the order the skin reveals them. Here the amber accord is crafted in its most textured, luminous dimension: labdanum brings not only warmth, it is sculpted and lit up.

The ingredients that matter

Four materials,
and a sculpted amber.

A luminous amber, in which each base material answers another: the warmth of labdanum to the softness of tonka, the density of patchouli to the verticality of vetiver.

  • 01 · Base

    Labdanum

    Rockrose resin

The heart of amber: a warm, balsamic, slightly leathery resin. Here, it is brightened by tonka and white musk.

  • 02 · Base

    Tonka bean

    Dipteryx odorata

Its coumarin brings the gourmand accent: cut hay, almond, blond tobacco. It’s what gives the sillage its softness of sun-warmed skin.

  • 03 · Heart

    Patchouli & vetiver

    Roots and leaves

The verticality of the fragrance. Two earthy, plant-based materials that structure the amber and give it its elegant staying power.

  • 04 · Base

    White musk

    Muscs blancs

Airy sensuality. It diffuses the accord around the body: the “skin” effect, the one you notice up close.

The key innovation

Why a water base
changes the sillage for the better.

Here, the accord is encapsulated in plant-derived spheres carried by a water-based formula. It no longer evaporates: it is released.

8 hlasting power measured after a single application · independent study

  1. A water-based formula

The accord is no longer dissolved in a solvent: it is carried by a phase that is neutral for the skin.

  2. Plant-derived spheres

The fragrance is enclosed in plant-derived microspheres that slowly burst under the warmth of the skin and within the fibres of clothing.

  3. Lasting power that unfolds

The sillage lasts because it is released gradually: a gentle lift-off, then an accord that stays close to the skin.

  4. Free from phototoxic molecules

No restrictions related to sun exposure.

Skin or clothing?

Both, and that is intentional: fabric extends the experience even further (that is where the staying power is longest), while a veil on the skin lets the accord unfold more intimately.

The step

The wide V,
from one shoulder to the other.

An alcohol-free Eau de parfum is sprayed generously: the pulse points of the upper body diffuse it together. It was designed for both skin and clothing.

  1. On clean, warm skin

After a bath or shower, on clean, still-warm skin: a moment for yourself, as the accord settles and begins to unfold.

  2. Trace the V

Spray generously from one shoulder to the other, across the décolleté.

  3. And on clothing

That is where it lasts longest: the study notes particularly optimal persistence on fabric, while a veil on the skin lets the accord evolve more intimately.

Does an alcohol-free fragrance last as long?
Yes, but differently. Alcohol projects strongly, then evaporates; the plant-derived spheres release the accord gradually on contact with the skin. The opening is softer, the sillage longer and closer to the body. An independent efficacy study found the scent lasting up to 8 hours after a single application, with particularly optimal staying power on fabric.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
It is suitable for all skin types. If your skin is very reactive, test it on the inside of your elbow.
Can it be worn in the sun?
Yes. Reliance compositions are designed without phototoxic molecules: wearing the perfume on your skin involves no restrictions related to sun exposure.
Is it a feminine or masculine perfume?
Unisex, like all six of the house’s accords. Ambre des Lumières wears differently from one skin to another: the amber and woods take on more warmth on some, the hesperidic touch more brightness on others.
Why 96% of natural origin and not 100%?
Some materials (gourmand notes, musks) require synthetic molecules to be stable and safe. Across the six accords, the rate ranges from 93 to 96%: Ambre des Lumières is among the highest.
Should I wear the body care in the same accord?
It isn’t essential, but that is where the collection comes into its own. The four body textures carry the same accord; the perfume applied on top gains depth and staying power.
How can I make the sillage last?
Spray it on your clothes too: fabric is where it lasts longest. Layered over the body milk or oil of the same accord, it gains even more depth.
